Vacancies and Visiting Positions
Departmental Vacancies:
Jobs for Geography Grads:
The Department of Geography is linked with many external organisations who employ Geography graduants on a regular basis. For a list of currently available jobs visit the Geography Related Job Vacancies page or if you are interested in jobs that have been offered in the past visit our Archived Geography related Job Vacancies page.
Erskine Fellowships:
As a member of the university's College of Science, the department benefits from the Erskine bequest, which currently allows, each year, for three senior geographers from overseas to be awarded Fellowships to lecture in the department for periods of between six weeks and three months.
Holders of Fellowships in 2004 and 2005 include Professor Audrey Kobayashi (Kingston University, Ont), Professor Richard Peet (Clark University), Professor Danny Dorling (University of Sheffield) and Professor Fes de Scally (Okanagan University College, BC).
Potential Fellows are nominated by the department to the Vice-Chancellor. Fellowships are not open by application and are available only to senior scholars.
