Virtual Campus

Where do I find researchers on campus who are working on anything related to sustainability?
Who teaches the course in C013 at 2pm as a cell phone was left in the class?
I can’t walk stairs and need to get from Room 503 in Geography to the second floor of the Law building – what’s the best route?

These are the types of questions the virtual campus project aims to be able to answer, supporting better discovery of places of interest and associated knowledge. The project has begun by developing a number of detailed models of campus buildings and low resolution models of a wider selection of buildings, as the basis for exploring research in geosemantics as well as visualisation and augmented reality applications. The work on geosemantics involves connecting the 3d models of campus buildings with a rich array of knowledge about those buildings and about what goes on in those buildings, supporting better discovery of resources on campus.
